The Easy Way is Hard Enough
This time in Peter’s Valley I had stayed in one of the homes they have there. I confess I made housing decisions in the midst of all kinds of work discussions. Long story short, I had no idea what I had done. I arrived to find myself assigned a ramshackle farmhouse with a front door that wouldn’t shut, vines crawling through my bedroom window and 6 housemates who were all Blacksmiths.
I admit I had what can only be described as location bends when I first arrived. No screen door, no window in my room, peeling paint everywhere, no television, just the occasional banging coming from the Blacksmith studio. Somewhere in the first night I knew I had to take a deep breath and let go. I did and that was the moment the magic began...... or shall I say my vacation.
On the last night there, I went to the Blacksmith shop to visit my new friends in their studio. Someone had written on the wall “The Easy Way is Hard Enough”. I couldn't agree more.
