January 2007 Sock Yarn
Almost all of my sock yarn! There are 55 and a half skeins in all. Some of my Koigu didn't make it into the pile, and I had to take another picture of my first sock yarn purchases that had been stashed somewhere else.
Almost 6 miles in all! Wow. That's ridiculous!

Holy cow. I cast on a sock last night, I figure it's realistic to do 2 per month without getting crazy, but counting the skeins, it would seem that I have enough yarn to knit between 37 to 40 pairs of socks. I think I'll have to start knitting gift socks! This has really opened my eyes. Holy cow.
mismatched Lailas socks
pattern: Laila's Socks by Nancy Bush from Folk Knitting in Estonia
yarn: Regia 4 ply (colour
1078) and Opal Uni 4 ply natural colour (can't remember the exact number),
about one 100g skein each
needles: 2,25mm
I'm rather pleased with my perseverance - I was about to give up after the third sock, but managed to finish them! I'm going to give them all as a Christmas gift to one person.
