Prices For Gold Coins
Coin minted in gold, such as the American Eagle or the Canadian Maple Leaf.
A gold coin is a coin made mostly or entirely of gold. Gold has been used for coins practically since the invention of coinage, originally because of gold's intrinsic value.

1845-O $10.00 SS New York NGC MS62
Mintage: 47,500
Variety 1. Repunched 84 in date. In addition to a number of fantastic half eagles, there were a number of great eagles found in the S.S. New York treasure as well. Among the most exciting was this superb 1845-O eagle. It has uncommonly reflective surfaces for the issue and it can be termed as semi-prooflike on both sides. The obverse and reverse both show light greenish-gold color and are minimally abraded with a few marks scattered here and there in the fields. The strike is sharp for the issue with a boldly detailed center, full radial lines within the stars and sharp borders.
I am aware of five or six Uncirculated examples of this date. The finest is clearly the incredible Bass/Eliasberg coin that is graded MS64 by NGC. A second NGC MS62 is known and it was last sold in Auction '88. The S.S. Republic contained two Uncirculated examples: an MS61 and an MS62, but neither could compare to the present example. This piece set an all-time record price for the date when it was first auctioned in 2008.

No.30. Homebase Coins.
Came from a box with the same image as the pirate logo on the Murco Petrol Station coin (No.25). They also come from Steenland Chocolate BV, Gouda, Holland.
I was told by a former B&Q employee, they used to eat handfuls of coins on their lunch breaks, as that was the only food available to them. I went to B&Q and they don't have any coins in stock (perhaps because they were making a large loss... for some 'unknown' reason?)
