Hallmark Hotel
Previously known as the Lakes Court Hotel and before that, the Cumbrian Hotel, this building has been welcoming visitors to the city as they alight their trains at the adjacent Citadel Station since the Victorian era.
When a local businessman owner sold to Hallmark chain the building underwent a considerable upgrade. Most of the money was obviously spent on the letting rooms and internal decor it seems, as it doesnt take much investigation to spot signs of neglect throughout.
Taken from Lowther St, between Bank St and Devonshire St junctions.
