opal pendant
Two cabochons of the Australian gemstone Boulder Opal have been wire wrapped in a combination of sterling silver and 14k gold fill wires to create this gorgeous pendant. Each of the pieces of the Boulder Opal, with its brownish base colour, display gorgeous streaks of colour in reds, blues and greens, difficult to pick up in the photos. Twisted wires of 14k gold fill have been combined with wires of sterling silver to wire wrap the stones securely in place. One set of the wires then sweeps around the top stone moving between the two stones while the other set of wires has been used to create tight coils sitting just above the first stone.
The beautiful colours of the contrasting wires combines with the brilliant flashes of colour within the opals to make this a truly unique pendant to be treasured.
A sterling silver chain will be supplied free of charge with the pendant.
