My DIY studio project!
I had a good look around at how to make a DIY seamless white background, and came up with this as the best option for me. It consists of 2 heavy duty hooks screwed into the wall, which take a piece of 2"x4" between them. Then fixed to the 2x4 is a roll of vinyl flooring. I found the cheapest roll i could find, for the back side of it, not the multicoloured ghastly pattern that was on the front! Then i painted it in a coat of melamine primer, then a coat of washable white satinwood.

I was worried that the paint would crack or not be flexible enough, but it rolls onto the cardboard roll i have no problems. So its now washable, has a nice slight sheen to it, which just picks up some shadow, but is very hardwearing!

Yo can see my first quick effort with it on my next pic on the photostream, looking forward to spending some time with it and a model who doesnt keep running everywhere!

the floor is coming up all over the place and is horribly discolored. i'm thinking about getting some cheap vinyl to replace it and i want to know what you guys think of that. i've helped installed vinyl flooring so i know it's not that hard and my kitchen is pretty small so i don't think it would be too expensive. what do you think? it has to be an improvement. the bathroom floors are also vinyl but in a bit better condition and the rest of the house is the old wood floors and they're great.
