Ikonta, Leica ll and Minolta 16 They Have Something in Common
They are all Russian clones :
The Ikconta is a Moskva 2 produced 1947 – 1956. The early ones may have been assembled from Zeiss spares
The Leica ll is a Zorki 1 and 99% identical to the Leica
The little Minolta 16 is a Vega and a carbon copy, Minolta accessories and cassettes fit.
It really does show the capabilities of the Soviet camera industry, they successfully produced a huge range of cameras and photographic equipment, if you look at the production figures in terms of quantity they probably rate second or third in the world.
