I've spray-painted the box and the stencil from last time in black, to make them even less likely to let through unwanted light (and make them look nicer as well). I also added a "lid" to close off the top part after the stencil is inserted.
I've also started making colour filters (only one in blue for now) to be able to get different colours from the same stencil. Filter + Stencil just go into the box behind each other.
Also in the picture is a laser + uv + led pointer to add some other effects to the photos.
In with the new, out with the old
True story! My living room lighting is horrible (as it is anywhere in my house). I can't even see what I'm knitting in this room. I was using my old, patched together photography lighting equipment to have enough light to see, while waiting for NEW equipment to arrive (I can't wait to start taking product photos again!).
The lightbulb in my old old stand blew this morning. :( AND, I kid you not, UPS knocked on my door moments (less than a minute!) later, with my new equipment.
YAY.
I love happy endings. :)

This provides high output making it a perfect soft light source for portraits. It will also provide moderate round catch lights in the eyes where a softbox will yield larger rectangular catch lights. It also comes with a front cover diffuser for softer looks. This Beauty dish is made of 100% aluminum with superior design. Honeycomb grid could be easily removed and attached.
