About a half hour past sunrise this morning -- maybe less -- a towboat pushing seven barges passed Huntington. Three empty barges were marked for hauling liquid chlorine. They look a lot better than the older chlorine barges I remember from a few years ago, but of course I have no expertise in the exact differences between the two. I assume chlorine is one of the most hazardous materials to move by barge in this area.
