Nikon D60 Camera Lenses
(Camera lens) A camera lens (also known as photographic lens, objective lens or photographic objective) is an optical lens or assembly of lenses used in conjunction with a camera body and mechanism to make images of objects either on photographic film or on other media capable of storing an

The Nikon D60 is a 10.2 megapixel Nikon F-mount digital single-lens reflex camera announced in January 2008. The D60 succeeds the entry-level Nikon D40x. It features the Nikon EXPEED image processor introduced in the higher-end Nikon D3 and D300.
Father and son
Here we have the Nikon D60, from 2008, and the Nikon F60, from 1998 (known as the N60 in the colonies).
A beginner camera from the digital age, and a beginner camera from the film era.
What do they have in common? Well, they were both targeted at people moving from point and shoot to a serious camera. Neither really needed an instruction book - what you see when you turn it on is pretty much all that it does.
Lens compatibility - they both have their oddities here. Notice that neither lens gives full compatibility with either camera? The D60 will only autofocus with AF and AF-S lenses, the F60 only with AF or AF-D. I was going to say that the D60 can autofocus with G lenses, but then there are exceptions - such as the 28-80 mm f/3.3-5.6G (no aperture ring, and no internal motor!). So both are somewhat knobbled, but you can still buy a decent range of lenses for each from the current Nikon lens range.
Did you know that the Nikon F60 body was used as the basis for the Fuji S1 Pro?
The Nikon D60 is lovely to use, and has a shutter that is quiet as a mouse. The F60, however, sounds like a combination of a grandfather clock and a blender (really grating). But then why did they add built-in winders to cameras that could only manage 36 exposures before being reloaded?
The F60 here is Champagne coloured - a special edition apparently, but only cost me ?30 on ebay.
The F60 is big, innit?
