Ann and her 'new' Polaroid toys
My daughter still loves Polaroid cameras and taking pictures with them. Some of my friends found out she'd take any of their Polaroid cast-offs so gave them to me to take to her. It was like watching a kid at Christmas time, seeing her expertly open and close them, and hear her tell me their names and what they can do (this one doesn't focus well, this one does).
That big thing in three of the photos is a copier of Polaroid prints. Basically it takes copies of Polaroid pictures that have already been taken (Ann figured out). She's not sure she can get the film for it but it is a novelty item. She has found a source of film for some of the cameras, and while I was there we went to the Blue Moon photo shop in the St. John area of Portland, OR and she bought 31 flash cubes! Now she'll be able to take brighter pictures in low light situations. She had never used the cubes and after she used the first one was surprised at how it looked after being used!
While we were there I talked to one of the young salesmen (they're all young to me now) about a pistol grip tripod head. That's what I want to get on my next tripod.
