Baby Shower Duck Invitations
In some countries, a baby shower is a way to celebrate the pending or recent birth of a child by presenting gifts to the parents at a party. The term "shower" is often assumed to mean that the expectant mother is "showered" with gifts.

Mama Duck and one of the nine babies that I saved tonight
Dear friends,
I was strolling through the park looking for Brownie and Greenie and I thought it was them quacking.
But no, the loud and frantic quacking was by a mama duck, way north in the park, in a part where nobody ever goes. So I took my little camera to make a video of a duck quacking.
Then I looked down and saw, that she was standing on the lip of a well. Down in the well were nine ducklings. Nine ducklings in a deep dark well, no food, no sunlight.
So I had to do something.
I jumped into the well, fell flat on my bum several times, but eventually lifted each little critter back up over the wall, to its waiting mama.
Then they all swum away into the sunlight.
I feel like an angel was watching over them, and calling out for me.
I have posted the video, just next door to this picture.
The Duck Episode!
Explored ...
I was quite hesitant at first to post this image! Not for any other reason other than the fact I cut the mother duck's head in the reflection and didn't leave enough room on top of her head. To me, it would have framed better that way. I was too close to the duck with my 135mm, and didn't have the luxury to move back and forth as my two boys were near the water ... But this is not about the picture, but this is about an interesting episode that took place in a bond near my house. I am not making this up, so if you were aware of such behavior, please do share.
