Sorrow is better than laughter, and a sad face is good for the heart (063/365)
There's no easy way to grieve. There's no easy way to contemplate bad things that happen. There's no easy way to tell someone "it'll be ok" when you can barely muster the faith to believe it.
Yesterday we found out that we lost the baby. More precisely, that the baby never fully developed. An empty black hole. I'm not exactly stellar at dealing with grief. I tend to bottle it up and act supportive and stable. Unrattled. Unflappable. Sometimes I deal best with what I feel through auxiliary means (writing, photography) ... and at the time, this was the best I could do to exorcise what was/is happening.
We're stunned. Shocked. Saddened. Angry. Confused. This is life.

Yes, that is a talking PeeWee Herman doll, from about 1984. For years, I kept it in a box, trying to preserve it. Now, it's thoroughly scuffed. And when you pull the string, the voice is really creepy, all distorted. But I keep it. And now it's in Lu's room.
