Raleigh Exotic Animal Show
Baby guinea pigs, being sold by the same lovely people with the backyard bred yorkies.
I was informed by a bored booth vendor that they were "about" 8 weeks old, and were of mixed sex. Which practically guarantees that all females in the bunch are pregnant. Some of the babies were clearly only 1-2 weeks old.
ALL of them had thin fur and signs of mites. They were fighting tooth and nail in that small of a space, and screaming constantly. Next to them, in a same sized container, a baby dutch rabbit was for sale. It was dropped on it's head by a child with an inattentive parent. They caught it and put it back into the tupperware. I told the booth's vendor, and they seemed not to care.
