Training wheel FREE !
Not an award winner, but definately an great capture of my youngest daughter, Ella's milestone.
First day without training wheels.
Incidently, learned a great technique where you remove the pedal and lower the seat and allow them to roll down a grassy hill. This allows the kids to touch the ground if need be and they learn the automatic reaction required to correct and balance while removing the complication of pedalling. Then once they are getting comfortable, simply bring the pedals back and it all comes together..
Hiawatha Trail Pedal Pusher
This "ride behind" bike is attached to my bike. It's the only way my 5-year-old could pedal the 15 miles of the Hiawatha Trail. And the only reason I could haul her 60 pounds behind me without passing out from exhaustion was because the trail is a 1% downgrade from top to bottom, followed by a shuttle ride back to the start.
