This saddle was spec'ed on huge numbers of garden variety Schwinn road bikes in the 1970s. It's historical significance, is that it was oftentimes the first saddle experience that many a bike boom cyclist ever had. Famously uncomfortable, the only logical conclusion one could draw after having ridden this saddle/torture device is that it couldn't possibly have been designed by, or produced by, anyone who had actually ridden it.
