Live View w/DSLR Remote and Canon EOS 40D
This is a shot from my Canon EOS 40D looking at and being fired by my iPhone using the onOne Software DSLR Remote. I was using Live View on the software so I could see what I was shooting before I fired the shutter...
I'm ready for this tethered shooting thing...
Next I setup an ad-hoc wireless network on my MacBook so my iPhone can connect to it in the field!
DIY Wireless Remote on Camera
Here's how the home-brewed wireless remote looks strapped to the tripod and plugged into the Canon EOS Rebel XS. the antenna wire is to the right and vertical. It's powered by a 6-volt NiMh hobby car battery. The red switch on the receiver can be used to trigger the shutter when power is removed from the unit.
