The doors of the seahouse are warped and moan under their twisted fate. I have taken them all off their hinges to bake in the hot summer sun under grey concrete bricks, but their new bonsaied forms stay like a bad habit.

Iron oxide permeates anything metal as the iron railing circles the balcony leaching sweet pumpkin pie stains down the side of the otherwise white stucco house. Madame, tired of her rusted portail (entry gate) replaced it with a cheap PVC one which blew off its weak plastic bolts in the first of many wind storms, rushing down the lane in an attempt to flee its new owner. I would too, she is a very mean old woman.

St Pierre is blustery, we host the wind surfing championships for a reason. The first deluge, a raging river rushed down the street where stacks of tourists cars once bitterly fought for parking spots in close proximity to the sandy beach. Now, they are gone. The rain has cleared and the sun warms us all. Next time, I will put out my clean buckets to capture all the rain water of St Pierre.

This is my macro setup. It consist of a $2 4cm magnifying glass attached to a black painted piece of pvc pipe.

It comes in 2 pieces, one that stays on the camera, and the magnifying tube.... i can remove and shoot normally. The tube when fitted SHOULD allow enough room so the zoom lens can extend fully. It allows me to have variable magnification at 2x to 10x zoom. Focus distance is restricted to (and dependent on the magnifying glass) about 10-15cm. Autofocus still work. Prefocus/half-shutter press will help in some situations.

I'll put up a more detailed write-up in the tz5 group when i find the time. But those who can't wait, i suggest going to your local hardware store with your camera and see what fits (or almost fits with some sanding) in the pluming section.
