At 16 inches across the widest point they would be not be lost in the rest of the details of the kitchen. Nice Greek Key detailing around the top of the bottom bowl.
The fitter would depend upon how long you need the drop to be, so it is not shown. The one in the images is for the picture taking only.
These would have been seen in bank lobbies, dept. stores, and large offices in the teens and twenties and can handle up to 200 watts each (even more with a Mogul socket).
The milk glass provides a pleasant light source, unlike many of the fixtures today where the shade is clear glass and you look directly into the glare of the light bulb.

This antique lighting fixture would have been typically found in vintage kitchens or bathrooms where there was a little bit of red accents in the room. Red has always been popular as an accent color in the kitchen, especially on light fixtures.
The vintage shade has raised ribs which have been painted with a red stripe and it looks to be the original paint. White porcelain fitter is in excellent condition with no noticeable chips or cracks. Pull chain socket has been rebuilt for decades more of usable service and the outlet has been disabled for safety concerns.
