Cut panels
I would have really liked to have used a heavy brown cotton velvet for this curtain, but could not find any at an affordable price, and the poly velvets are definitely not suited for a curtain such as this. Besides...I prefer my textiles to NOT contain any form of plastic in them. LOL. =)
Carved Panel Window Treatment
I constructed a wooden cornice board using birch plywood, which I painted with stripes. I cut out the panel shapes, painted them brown and stenciled in black. I screwed and glued it together and embellished it with fringe, cords and tassels.
