Mr Bassett Lowke would have approved I'm sure, this fine house again using local iron stone detail and blending in the arts & crafts style. Check the fine detail on top of the first floor window pure A&C style seen in both the archticture and furniture of this time. Again on this side the four small ground floor windows call out to Charles Rennie Mackintosh who's designs often feature in groups of four and the designer of Bassett Lowkes first Northampton home at Derngate.

Once the home of the Bassett Furniture Company, this town now has an abandoned feel to it. The factory is closed and the houses across the street from it are lifeless. It's an eerie and sad sight.
