Shopping for a holiday feast
It just so happens that Houston's premier gourmet grocery store, Central Market, is right down the street from my apartment. I buy most of my fruit, veggies, cheese, fresh baked bread, fish, meat and flowers there, but I also shop at Krogers on the way home from work. Today I am getting fresh catfish and a few other items for my Fourth of July feast.
Addendum: I have been out and about for twenty years starting in December 1990. Unlike many T-girls, I started my en femme ventures by shopping ... years before I ever went to a nightclub or TG support group meeting. I know a girl who was on hormones several months before she ever went to a grocery store as her new self. Isn't survival more important than merely looking sexy? I started with the basics long before I went full time almost a dozen years ago.
Flowers - The Plant was for Sale at Traders Village
On Saturday, Carl and I decided to drive from Lake Jackson to Houston and find my high school friend, Mike Baxter, at Traders' Village. We took highway 288 north toward Houston. When we arrived at the Bayou Shrimp Festival, we found good food and entertaining musicians. After spending some time under the pavilion, we walked around in the shopping area. Mike gave us some good tips. We were surprised that we actually bought a few things.
