The 2009 Import and Export Market for Cellular Rubber or Plastic Mattresses in Jordan

On the demand side, exporters and strategic planners focusing on cellular rubber or plastic mattresses in Jordan face a number of questions. The total level of imports and exports on a worldwide basis, and those for Jordan in particular, is estimated using a model which aggregates across over 150 key country markets and projects these to the current year. From there, each country represents a percent of the world market. This market is served from a number of competitive countries of origin. Based on both demand- and supply-side dynamics, market shares by country of origin are then calculated across each country market destination. These shares lead to a volume of import and export values for each country and are aggregated to regional and world totals. In doing so, we are able to obtain maximum likelihood estimates of both the value of each market and the share that Jordan is likely to receive this year. From these figures, rankings are calculated to allow managers to prioritize Jordan compared to other major country markets. In this way, all the figures provided in this report are forecasts that can be combined with internal information sources for strategic planning purposes.

ETA (2010): It's so funny how everyone is commenting about how much room I must have because of this picture. This was a studio apartment with about 525 sq ft of space. I fit the same furniture into a 425 sq ft studio before this one. It just depends on space priorities. I spent most of my time at my desk or reading profusely, so it made sense budgeting most of my space to my "study." Other people may find this a low priority use of space and instead invest in a better living room or bedroom or dining area (my bedroom consisted of an old twin mattress on the floor of a small loft and I didn't have a dining area).

Jordan's Furniture made many New Englanders happy. In the Spring they offered everyone a chance to stand behind the Red Sock and take a chance at getting new free furniture. Items had to be bought in the spring with the promise that if the Red Sox won the World Series the furniture would be free! I was going to get a new couch and some mattresses...and now I am kicking myself since I still need the new couch and mattress.
