The Balloon flower(Chinese bellflower) is a representative of summer/autumn in Japan.
It's being little sachets. Have it in your bedroom, fill it with your favorite fragrance, sit and meditate upon it or just display it round your home, whatever you decide it is a nice look to compliment anywhere!
The material is called Chirimen, a special crepe a little heavier than normal fabric used in making Kimono.

Flower Bear
A teddy bear holding pink African violets. A dear friend gave me the violet plant, and it had enough to spare a couple of flowers for the photo.
