Dresses Made From T Shirts
- (T Shirt (album)) T Shirt is a 1976 album by Loudon Wainwright III. Unlike his earlier records, this (and the subsequent 'Final Exam') saw Wainwright adopt a full blown rock band (Slowtrain) - though there are acoustic songs on T-Shirt, including a talking blues.

Alabama Chanin inspired dress
OK...so, I cheated a bit. I am still working on a big Alabama Chanin style handstitching project (shawl) that is taking FOREVER! I really like it so far, and I think it will be very pretty when complete, but I need small diversions. So, I really wanted to try the tank dress from the Alabama Studio Style book. But, I didn't want the project to take forever, so I cheated a bit by machine stitching. This dress is made completely from thrifted t-shirts. I cut apart the t-shirts and used the machine to stitch together the pieces. I then used the sewing machine to topstitch each seam with a decorative machine stitch. I also used the sewing machine to construct the dress. The reverse applique circles are stitched by hand as well as the bias strips around the arm holes and neckline. I had to revise the pattern a little bit (shortened the waist length about 2 inches). Love the dress...it was alot of fun to make!
Marrakech T Shirt Dress
Made from an old T shirt, refashioned into a toddler dress. Already stained from toddler fun!
