"our kitchen is pretty big- painted it Ben Moore London Fog and focused on using black and white- the various plates were Homegoods finds, the chalkboard was orginally gold , so I painted it with OneShot enamel in white for a glossy lacquer finish. You can see into the pantry which is probably my favorite area and what sold me on the house. The bar table is Boston Interiors and can be folded in half to create a console table- the stools are from IKEA and have handy removable slipcovers for washing off greasy handprints!" - Erin Gates
Lacquer Ware
This is lacquer ware, I think from India. It's a piece of folk art, a simple container divided along its equator; the lid lifts off. I have no idea what the designs mean or their origin. I've always loved its eight-lobed shape as well as its color and surface texture.
Maybe some one has more exact information they can give me?
