Nordic Ware Danish Ebleskiver Pan
Use any pancake or waffle recipe or mix to make these delicious round pancakes with fillings indside! Recipes included. Proudly made in the USA by Nordic Ware.
Scandinavians love the spherical little pancakes known as ebleskiver. Countless "traditional" recipes for them exist, but any old pancake recipe will do, including prepackaged pancake mix and concoctions beginning with cake mixes. Shape defines ebleskiver, not ingredients, and only an ebleskiver pan delivers. Safe on gas or electric stovetops, this one is made from heavy cast aluminum so it won't warp. And it's nonstick, to make flipping the pancakes easy and cleanup a snap. (For authenticity, turn ebleskiver with a knitting needle.) Its wood handle stays cool and adds a rustic touch. There's a notch on the handle's end for hanging on a hook or peg. --Fred Brack

f001 Flensted Mobiles are a traditional handicraft in Denmark. The first modern designer mobile was made there in 1954. It was then that Christian and Grethe Flensted designed the Stork mobile to celebrate the baptism of their daughter. Demand for the Stork mobile surpassed all expectations, and it still ships worldwide over 50 years later. Today Flensted Mobiles is based on the Danish island of Funen, the birthplace of Hans Christian Anderson, where it creates its very own design fairy tales from the old village school in Brenderup. Based on his creations, Christian was dubbed the ''Uromager'', which roughly translated means, ''maker of things mischievous and always on the move''. Today, their son Ole and his wife Aase continue the tradition. Designed by: Christian Flensted Features: -Material: Paper and straw. -Mobile with three circling storks. -Ideal greeting to the expectant mother or a ''welcome'' to hang above the cot. -Overall dimensions: 15'' H x 18'' W.
