when my father died & she moved to a smaller house, my mother asked if i wanted any of the furniture. only that little blue/green table, i said, the one in the corner. in my house, however, it is much bigger, the space surrounding it so much smaller. it is old, it is chippy & the legs need repaired, but it sits next to the front glass doors and for over 13 years has been the home for bouquets and small christmas trees and candles and of course, a cat keeping an eye on the world outside. it is the color of so much in my house, almost blues & greens, lots of whites, and if you look closely you can see the handpainted concrete floor beneath it. the quote? i have quotes everywhere - hanging from doorknobs and pinned to the walls and sitting in bowls on another blue table. this one reminds me daily that i am my own joy, but i will admit to also knowing the happiness that comes with stuff . love me some stuff.

It was sort of a long, drawn out process (the Apple Store, while highly competent, wasn't exactly speedy in getting my repair completed). I don't know if this software worked like it was supposed to, but it was running in my machine when it returned to it's working state.
