365 - the set up
i had a lovely time at the brighton flickr meet last night, and in talking a few people asked me if i was actually on the beach for my final shot.
So although i don't like posting the set ups for shots and although i want to be looking forward with my post and not going on about my 365s too much, here is one of the outtakes from my final day.
The table is really there, its a pasting table so that it folds up and is quite light. the old green phone has appeared in a few 365s and is an old 80s classic phone that was in my mum and dad kitchen for many years. The mike stand is made from a tripod and blu tac, and the jug and glass are from our kitchen and i did carry a bottle of water so the just would have some in. Oh and i had to get the chicken in there, and i wish that it had appeared in more 365s.
There are three flashes, one camera left, one camera right and one right by the camera and yes i got some very strange looks from the people walking by just behind camera, as i foolishly picked the most busy part of the beach as it was the easiest to get to. Its right by brighton marina.
so there you go, and looking back it was fun and worth it.
A Martha Stewart Production!!
So, this was weird. This family of four showed up and apparently wanted to have a "Beach Experience". They broke out a folding table and then a grass skirt which they MASKING TAPED to the table. And then they put up tiki torches. It was all very weird. I hav a video of this which I will have to upload to Vimeo at some point.
