Restaurant Supply Stainless Steel Table

BBQ Buffet?
We chose a BBQ Buffet restaurant for supper.... A totally new concept for me. For a fixed price of Y35, you get a stainless steel table with a charcoal fire in the middle and a wire frame above it. You go to a large refrigerated display case and choose a variety of meats, seafood and veggies on metal skewers, bring them back to your table and cook them to your taste. Once cooked, you can put them on the wire frame to keep them warm. There are also a variety of 'cold foods' such as beans, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and Chinese pickles supplied.
Here Neo is surveying the last few skewers of mutton at the end of the meal... a fun dinner but in the humid weather, and even with air-conditioning in the restaurant, a hot experience.
Bowery-Holdout
Bowery south of Houston was always Manhattan's restaurant supply district. There are a few places left, but the area is getting way too rich for these kinds of businesses. This one is across the street and up about 40 yards from the fancy New Museum. Its days are surely numbered. Fun side note, I bought a stainless steel table for my kitchen from Rogers & Sons, whose sign is at the upper right, when I moved in in 1991.
