You know why I love Christmas so much? It's not just the lights and the presents -- it's the tree. Not Christmas trees in general, but specifically OUR tree. We have a few generic balls and such that we like, but most of our ornaments have some memory associated with them. Like this Santa and his reindeer. When I was around 6 or 8 years old, my sister and I painted these ornaments by hand. They were just cheap acrylic things, but I remember sitting there at the kitchen table painting them, and hanging them for the first time. This year, Claire got to hang them, and she insisted that Santa and all 4 pairs of reindeer hang together across the front of the tree. She is her mother's daughter. :)

You'll probably be seeing a lot of my ornaments over the next couple of weeks. And again next year at this time. :-P I love Christmas!

A dear old friend of mine, Joseph, sent me this beautiful arrangement for our Christmas table. It has greens, carnations, daisies (?), and faux sugared apples. There was also a little box of chocolate and candies included. Petals and sweets - who could ask for a nicer present? :)
