Timber Beam Console Table
The beam with the legs installed. The jig sufficed in setting the pilot holes but the boring of the larger holes had to be done freehand as it was fairly violent. That said, it worked well and the legs all share similar enough compound angles that they match. The beam is 6" x 6" x 78" and stands with a height of 39".
The beam will start to receive a combination of Danish oil and Tung oil over the next few days- most likely 6-8 coats so to fully penetrate the wood, harden it a bit, and prevent it from graying.
In addition I have to install the tension cable. I am without the crimping tool for the ferules which makes this an interesting situation...
