King Ranch Saddle Shop
King Ranch Saddle Shop is well known for its high quality luggage, purses, business accessories, hunting gear, and of course, their saddles. It was first established in 1865 by Captiain King for the purpose of making and repairing the saddles and other equipment needed on his ranch. Today the business is located in the historic Ragland Building in downtown Kingsville.
King Ranch Saddle Blankets
The King Ranch saddle blankets were woven onsite on the ranch in a cottage in the ranch hands' village (called the Colony). The weaver, now deceased, was known for the quality of his blankets, spun and woven from the wool of sheep on the ranch. Each blanket bears the Running W woven into the corner.
