(mag wheel) Lightweight, sporty wheels made of magnesium. The term mag is often applied to aluminum and aluminum and steel combination wheels. Also see alloy wheels.
Alloy wheels (incorrectly known as rims) are automobile (car, motorcycle and truck) wheels which are made from an alloy of aluminium or magnesium (or sometimes a mixture of both). They are typically lighter for the same strength and provide better heat conduction and improved cosmetic appearance.
Some high-performance automobiles have wheels made of cast magnesium, commonly known as "mag wheels" for short.

Little trucks from Japan
This is the "neatest" one, it had mag wheels with knobby tyres and a graphic on the sidewalls of the bed (see all sizes to read it). It also had a "Sold" sign in the window.
I found these in a lot in a Small town in east central Nebraska.
They appear to be used delivery trucks from Japan.
Many have quite a few miles on them, they are all different brands, AND all right-hand drive!!
They are NOT street legal in most areas. A farmer/land owner could use them on their own property-ONLY.
BD 1973 Datsun 620 -01
Back side of the old 620. Traction bars were de rigueur. I was in a very loosely formed custom minitruck club. I painted the "Desert Drifters" on the window myself. (Aspiring graphic artist back then). Turns out I was the only one in the club to do so.
