car under ice ridge on driveway
This is not my usual Flickr post, I know.
We had a 4 or 5 inch snow a few days ago, followed by a little freezing rain. (Thank God, no one in our area seemed to have lost power, which often happens with freezing rain, as the power lines snap from the weight, or branches break and fall and break the lines.) Much of the snow, at least what isn't in the shade, has melted. But a lot of the ice hasn't. (Probably because it's transparent, and doesn't absorb much energy.) My wife had the brilliant idea of using this ice ridge, where there used to be a snow ridge, but the snow melted out from under the ice, in our driveway, to show this phenomenon, using some of the toy cars we keep for when little ones come to visit. Here's one of the results.
Thanks for looking.
Silverstone Preperation Stage Two
Today for stage two I removed the sun flap things with built in vanity mirror. I've removed the plastic covering the gearstick and hand brake. Also removed today were the rear mats, the trim covering tail gate, gearstick gaiter and other misc pannels.
Other jobs still do do is remove the rear seats, remove the passenger seat, the rear quearters, carpets, rear seatbelts and other misc panels inside the car.
