Grey, wet & windy - not perfect weather for a Jones Beach gig, especially when you're at the very top (we're talking real nose bleed ehre) of the mezzanine cheap seats facing into the wind. Brrr.

The good news is that Jones beach kindly sells blankets to you for only $30. So kind of them... that and the $4 coffees and $10 fish and chips that was basically inedible.

Some tips for Jones Beach:

1) Bring warm clothes! Check the weather forecast and imagine 10 degrees cooler - you're by the sea.
2) Eat before you come in - don't encourage their price gouging by buying anything inside.

While on vacation I took in a afternoon baseball game at Safeco Field with some buddies. There is nothing better than a afternoon in the sun at the ballpark.
