We made it out of the Sao Paulo airport without any issues. Then we get to New York and- BAM! Our flight home is cancelled. To make it better, they said it was because of weather so we didn't get any free food and we had to pay for our own hotel. We ended up staying at the airport for four hours or so, which was interesting. I decided to snap my self while I waiting for Pastor Jeff and Bill to figure out what we were going to do. So... here's me, waiting at the airport in my dirty flip flops. We set all of our luggage against the back corner of a little food place (something ending in Pain. I think it was French... it had rockin' smoothies, regardless. :]). I decided 19 people's luggage made for a pretty fun airport photo. ;)

All flights cancelled; enjoy your impromptu stay.
As opposed to the serendipity of my previous flight out of JFK, this time around, weather cancelled any flights heading north or west, which I only found out after my crazy 40 minute run through customs, luggage, terminals and security to the gate. One expensive phone call later, I changed my flight to skip Toronto and to go directly to Vancouver the next morning, meaning a bit of couchsurfing this night.
