Celtic Buckle with twisted motif (web)
This buckle is inspired by the pennanular brooches the Celts are so identified with,but of course this is made as a buckle for belt leather rather than a tartan or a cloak.
Forged stainless steel.
The pattern is accomplished by twisting the square stock before forming it into a ring,then polishing only the high points (which are the corner edges of the original bar). This pattern is most often identified with the Celts because they were the first in the archeological record to twist square stock,but of course that was bronze not stainless steel.

Here is a group picture of my completed chainmail dice bags/pouches. Designs include plain stainless steel, tree inlay, flame inlay, Cthulhu inlay, celtic band inlay, runes inlay, space inlay, medieval weapons inlay, dragon's head inlay, and wolf's paw inlay. All inlay bags are made with aluminum rings.
