Jennifer Berezan's Returning was recorded in one of the world's most ancient temples, the Hypogeum at Hal Saflieni in Malta. The Hypogeum is an underground chamber exquisitely carved from stone before the age of metal over 6000 years ago (more than 1000 years before the great pyramids in Egypt and the stone works of Stonehenge). Special guests include Linda Tillery (Grammy nominee for her Cultural Heritage Recording), and Navajo singer Sharon Burch (NAIRD award winner for best Native American recording). The CD packaging itself is a work of art featuring 12 full color panels including many rare photographs of the Hypogeum and other sacred ancient images. This 1999 CD continues to be a best seller year after year and is used in hundreds of yoga classes, massage studios, hospice centers, birthing rooms, and meditative contexts throughout the world.

You may remember Miguel from ‘Man at Newsstand I’ Well this is Rick, he works the weekend shift at the stand. We talked briefly on the ramifications of ‘All Sales Are Final’ and how it impacts the general magazine purchasing public. He stated that the sign had no legal bindings whatsoever but it was up there just to discourage people from trying to return magazines.

Well this seemed a bit odd – people returning magazines – so we took a nostalgic stroll back in time trying to recall when either of us ever returned a newspaper or magazine. Turns out we had a lot in common seeing that over the last several years we have retuned car parts, televisions, radios, shoes, shirts, pants, belts, engagement rings, bread, baby back ribs, tools, a kite, bicycles and last minute corsages, but no magazines.

Go figure.

Dallas Cowboys receiver Roy Williams wants his ring. Sure, a Super Bowl ring (ha!), But her engagement ring.

According to an article OAOnline.com, former Miss Texas, USA Brooke Daniels, a former Lion, issued a complaint filed last week asking for the ring. Rock an estimated$ 76,000.

Williams, a wedding ring and Daniels on the court marriage. This is a baseball schooland the dentist and his brother, added $ 5,000. This project was rejected and returned to the ring.
