- Kerry was a constituency represented in the Irish House of Commons to 1800. Following the Act of Union 1800 the county retained two seats.
- John Forbes (1943–), US politician. A liberal Democrat from Massachusetts, he served in the US Senate from 1985 and was the Democratic candidate for president in 2004. During his service in the US Navy in Vietnam he received a Silver Star, a Bronze Star with Combat V, and three Purple Hearts. Upon returning from the war, he became a leader in Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) and gave powerful testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in 1971. He was a prosecutor in Massachusetts and then served as lieutenant governor 1982–1984

People I have known, and who have lived through these situations, as well as events I myself have experienced, all figure into the various scenarios presented here.
It is a comfortable, relaxing read, which has been well received by my readers, ages 24 to 80.
