- Carbon steel, also called plain-carbon steel, is steel where the main alloying constituent is carbon.
- Steel in which the main alloying element is carbon, and whose properties are chiefly dependent on the percentage of carbon present
- (Carbon steels) which can successfully undergo heat-treatment have a carbon content in the range of 0.30% to 1.70% by weight. Trace impurities of various other elements can have a significant effect on the quality of the resulting steel.
- steel whose characteristics are determined by the amount of carbon it contains
- A telephone call
- (ring) sound loudly and sonorously; "the bells rang"
- An act of causing a bell to sound, or the resonant sound caused by this
- gymnastic apparatus consisting of a pair of heavy metal circles (usually covered with leather) suspended by ropes; used for gymnastic exercises; "the rings require a strong upper body"
- Each of a series of resonant or vibrating sounds signaling an incoming telephone call
- (ring) a characteristic sound; "it has the ring of sincerity"
Stackable Therapy Ring - Mastodon Ivory, Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Brass
I combined carbon steel, stainless steel, brass and mastodon ivory to create this exquisitely petite ring. The band is carbon steel and was formed through pressing and cold forging processes. The pin holding the ivory is brass and comprised of a dual tube rivet/standard rivet combo. Stainless steel micro spacers act as a buffer between the ivory and the band.
