FAIRBANKS - The title of Steve Brown and The Bailers' new album, "Things Change," proves very apt.
In its four-and-half-year existence, the band has continually redefined its sound, not by drastic leaps and bounds but in gradual increments.
And those changes are clearly evident on the new album, being released tonight at Ivory Jack's.Recorded at Fairbanks' 10th Planet Studios, the band on "Things Change" sounds tight, locked in step and yet comfortable and loose enough to generate a strong emotional content fitting a live performance."That's something I was hoping would show up," Brown said during a recent phone interview.
