Drustvena svijest
Oni koji misle i vjeruju sebi da mogu rijesiti egzistencijalne probleme u krugu vlastite provincijalne vukojebine, okruzene jednim svijetom sazrelih ekonomsko politickih kontradikcija, mogu to postici tek putem imanentnih pravila koji upravljaju tim jazbinama.
Marx je jos polovinom osamnajstog stoljeca smjestio tu „svijest“ u znanstvenu kategoriju drustveno ekonomskih zakonitosti, na kojima se zasnovao cjelokupni civilizacijski razvoj od prahistorije do nasih dana:
„In the social production of their life ,men enter into definite relations that are indispensable and independant of their will, relations of production which correspond to a definite stage of development of their material productive forces.The sum total of these relations constitute the economic structur of society, the real fundation, on which rise a legal and political superstructure and to which correspond definite forms of social consciousness. The mode of production of material life conditions the social, political and intellectual process in general. It is not the consciousness of men that determines their being, but, on the contrary, their social being that deternines their consciouss.
At a certain stage of development these 'material relation' become intolerably restrictive, and then begins an epoch of social revolution in which the whole immense 'superstructure' of consciousness- legal, political, religious, aesthetic-melt as quicly as snowfall on a sunny winter morning. This has happened with every precious mode of production, from the Asiatic to the feudal , and would most assuredly be the fate of the modern bourgeois tyranny…“
