As long as we’re here we shall wither like
the leaves for our arms are distant and
infertile while the famished birds alight
on wearied shoulders
feeding on our tribulations
And so our words are weighted down with dreams
and the fires of insane reality
are menacing once more
where are we heading for at this late season
with such a weight of forebears?
at length we wonder
how to forestall these traps
and peaceful wait the feast day
of the morning
