By default, the HP Pavilion laptop dv6 series, comes with Windows Vista Home Premium (64bit) installed, which is not particularly think that the most optimal. Therefore, when out of the box, then turned it on, I tried it and the minutes and were formatted to install a version of Windows (in this case, 7 Ultimate), that would make the most of this notebook.
After installing the operating system Windows 7 Ultimate on my HP Pavilion dv6-1247cl, I directed, immediately, the task of installing intensive programs like Adobe Photoshop CS4, it was my intention to see that actually the computer offers the best technical performance market. And it really made me happy because I have not had any problems so far.
That is in terms of technical characteristics. And moreover, I tell them my experience with the battery, which has left me satisfied. I have found that the HP Pavilion DV6 battery can last, in high yield (that is activated from the Windows Power Options) 8 hours, and heavy use may last up to 6 hours, thanks to the performance of the 12-cell battery that the laptop includes constructed of ion and lithium. On the other hand, the HP Pavilion 1247cl dv6-design features (as I mentioned) very smart, but in another sense, this design allows the laptop kept refrigerated, and I guarantee: you will not have problems with high temperatures. The battery has a design that makes the laptop is slightly higher than normal, thus, the ventilation process is more effective than you can find and I've been working long hours with this laptop, up to 12 consecutive hours without stopping, and so far I have not had overheating problems or blockages, which is common in other notebooks that do not make a good temperature.
Similarly, they commented that the speakers that includes the laptop is quite powerful, it sounds very crisp, with high quality.
