Today, most of the Croatian media reported that the former Croatian prime minister Ivo Sanader has been given a position of leadership in the newly established Harriman Institute's group concerning integration process of Southeast Europe into the European Union at Columbian Institute, NY.
As a citizen of a country which was left without Government leadership at the peak of economic crisis, by the very same Ivo Sanader, whose name is since then most often mentioned in the context of numerous national and one international affair ( Hypo Alpe Adria Bank) concerning corruption and economic crime, I find the information on this new position he has been allowed to occupy disturbing and offensive.
The person whose name appears almost every time a new corruption affair is discovered in Croatia, does not deserve to teach at such respectable University.
I am deeply hurt and concerned about this injustice.
While an honest citizen of Croatia cannot find job in his own country (which has been corrupted and illegally depleted of money and resources by the people who have been protected by very powerful individuals close to Croatian authorities), the individual who has had the biggest responsibility to prevent this, and as the facts indicate, who was involved in a lot of this corruption and crime himself - Ivo Sanader - is being paid to lecture about Southeastern Europe's integration process into EU.
Sincerely, croatian citizen
