Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon has revealed their new away uniform that they will wear during their 10/11 domestic campaign. The unveiling comes just weeks after the new green and white striped home uniform was released.
The team had a disappointing domestic season throughout 2009/10 with a 4th place finish that saw them finish 20 points behind 3rd place FC Porto. Even so, they have managed to make the qualifying rounds of the Europa League. During the 2009 Europa League, the club comfortably won their group before impressively beating Everton 4-2 on aggregate in round two. However, they lost on away goals to eventual Champions Atletico Madrid in the round of 16.
The new Sporting Lisbon 10/11 away soccer uniform is predominately black with a green patch on the top right shoulder. There is a large black club logo watermarked into the green patch on the right shoulder. Manufacturers Puma place their white “cat” logo centrally below the green round neck collar and on the edges of the sleeves. The club badge is situated in the top left and sponsors “Meo” position their large white worded logo across the centre of the uniform.
