From travelling along the railways of Europe to exploring the waters of the Baltic Sea... It's now time for NISI MASA to announce its second itinerant filmmaking workshop about multilingualism...
We are launching an online video contest as the first step of POLYGLOT - on the way to Turku- organised within the framework of the Turku 2011 European Cultural Capital (Finland). 18 winners will be invited to attend a "Cine-Boat" workshop and mini film festival from 3rd - 19th June 2011!
Participants will travel by boat around the archipelago of Turku and Aland islands during 2 weeks, shooting short documentaries about local forms of multilingualism. The resulting films will then be showcased to the public within a 2-day festival, alongside further screenings and debates.
Contest entries max. 5 minutes, documentary or fiction. Europeans (EU or non-EU) aged 18-35 are eligible. There will be no participation fee, and all expenses (travel, food and accommodation) will be paid.
