The smell of summer

Last time I wrote about Daniel being in the top 10 best restaurants in the world, now I have to add that Chef Daniel Boulud won a James Beard award as the best restaurateur. We did celebrate indeed!
In the meantime, I have been really enjoying work, since I feel more comfortable with the station and the work I need to do. Of course, you are always racing the clock, but that's what's pushing me to be better and faster.
I also try to do some jogging (whenever I can get myself out of bed) and also go to different places on my days off. Oh boy, I have seen so much already, I don't even know where to start!
Here are a few snapshots of a wonderful Farmers Market I visited on 47th and 3rd. Asparagus are everywhere and summer fruits are slowly arriving. Strawberries are looking nice, but taste wise...They still need a bit more time.
I have also been going to many fantastic bars, most of them speakeasies because I love when they have a story and well thought and beautifully presented cocktails. The drink was from a lounge called Angel's Share. If you are in the East Village, make sure you make a stop!
