Sebastian Vettel was chosen as the second best German sportsman of the year 2009. At the annual Sportler des Jahres gala, he lost out only to swimmer Paul Biedermann. Sebastian couldn't be present at the gala, because he is currently in Milton Keynes with the team, but he left a video message thanking for the honor and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.
